Unfortunately, it’s that time of year again. The three glorious months of summer are coming to an end and that means that the school year is starting up once again. Often times it can be tough to navigate through the wonderful world of IB and it’s easy to get off track. A key ingredient to staying focused is staying organized. These are five of my favorite school supplies that can help keep your work clean and organized.
- Accordion Folders
Accordion folders are a great way to keep papers separated per class. Especially at the beginning of the year teachers give out so many different papers sometimes they all get mixed up. Accordion folders are not only light weight but keep papers straight and neat. An extremely helpful thing throughout the year.
It won’t be long before you realize that in the blink of an eye your work can pile up like there is no tomorrow. That’s where a planner comes in. This tool can be used to keep track of any heavy work load and ensure that you get everything on your to-do list done.
3. Composition Notebooks
I’ve always preferred composition notebooks over spiral ones because they last longer and the pages don’t fall out as easily. They are a great way to keep all of your notes in order without having to worry about losing any of them throughout the year.
4. Colorful Index Cards
No matter what subject you’re studying flashcards will never fail to help you. However, in the fast-paced world of MYP it can be easy to lose track of which cards are for what simply because they all look the same. That’s where these colorful cards come in. Designating different colors per class or subjects can help you keep track of what you need to study so that you never get lost.
5. Sticky Notes
Sticky notes are a great tool for not only personal reminders that you can stick on your laptop or binders. They can also be used when annotating books. This is especially true for those who do not like to write or make any markings in books. They allow you to keep your thoughts organized without ruining the page.
