It’s a month into the New Year, and some of us might be having trouble sticking to our resolutions. But there is hope! Here are some helpful tips to make sure you reach your goals.
- Set daily reminders for yourself:
In your house, tape encouragements and reminders in places where you will see them everyday or set daily reminders on your phone.
- Track your progress in a journal
Keep daily or weekly logs in either a physical or digital journal. Not only will keeping track become a habit, but eventually, so will your resolution. You can also keep track of other things in your journal or planner like your moods, health, etc.
- Reward yourself; don’t beat yourself up
When keeping track of your progress, try to set weekly or monthly goals to reach. When you reach these goals, reward yourself for it with a treat or a cheat day.
- Get an accountability partner
You know what they say, teamwork makes the dream work. Have a close friend or family member help you keep track and keep you accountable for doing what you need to succeed.
- Stay Positive
A new years resolution can start to get boring after a while. Make sure to stay positive and not to give up, even if it gets tough.
Hopefully with these tips you will be able to keep your resolutions all year.
